The Intro …
I quit, I quit, I quit.
Anyone seen the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when Geoffrey wins some money then jumps around like a lunatic shouting I quit, I quit, I quit? I love that show. Hopefully you have seen the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air so you get that reference, if not, erm, let’s move on.
But, basically, I quit my minimum wage job. It was time to leave.
Before we talk about that drastic change, here are the latest stats.
Same stats as before, but with a twist, it was quitting time.
Side Note: It’s June 2023 as I write this and I’m going back in the past to find out my betting stats which led to where I am now.
Let’s get into it!
Quitting the job
Ok. So for quite some time I had been real unhappy with my work situation.
I had quit my self-employed electrical ‘so called’ business, which was basically just me being a slave to customers and builders, with no real business plan.
Having just thrown in the towel with the whole electrical world at 25, I still needed money. I did have a look at the job market, as I needed money, but I didn’t want stress. The way I look at it, if you’re on 30k a year, you’re stress at work is probably going to be quite high.
I planned on trying various side hustles, so I decided to take a minimum wage job (less stress) and early morning hours, 7am – 3pm. This would pretty much give me the afternoon free to plan on doing some side hustles.
So long story short I got that work situation working in a warehouse. That warehouse moved 2 hours away 2 years later, so I ended up working in a printing and embroidery shop printing t shirts. And with that 4 years had flown by. I was still at minimum wage, and I was going to be 30 this month. Nothing had been achieved. How s**t.
With failure looming infront of me, and being able to live on £1200 a month at my parents house, well I only needed about £600, I thought let’s screw it, I’m quitting the job and I’m going to build websites for people.
How little did I know what I was going to do bugger all building websites! But spend most of my time looking into matched betting, which has turned into a passion, and in my opinion, a super duper side hustle. You’ll soon see the jump in the betting total in November when I focus on it full time.
So that’s a quick summary of the life situation, I might delve more into it or tweak bits in the post, but I gather you get the gist of it.
Let’s get stuck into the betting weeks.
October 2020: Week 1
This is a quick screenshot of the last day of 7/10/2020. The 1st of October 2020 was a Thursday and the 7th October 2020 was a Wednesday.

Same as usual with the Bet and Gets. I think Betfair was the most generous this week.
A betting total of £54.12 was made for the week. Better than last months!
October 2020: Week 2
This is a quick screenshot of the last day of 14/10/2020. The 8th of October 2020 was a Thursday and the 14th October 2020 was a Wednesday.

I can’t see any new sign ups for this week, so still just the bet and gets from the bookies such as Coral, Betfair, Betdaq, Mr Green, Bet600, Betway and Betfred.
I’m getting close to the 2k mark!
October 2020: Week 3
This is a quick screenshot of the last day of 21/10/2020. The 15th of October 2020 was a Thursday and the 21st October 2020 was a Wednesday.

Kwiff is a bookie I’ve been seeing recently on my profit tracker, not sure what the offer was, maybe a suprise bet. Kwiff is a funny old bookie, the odds are soooo bad! But the kwiff is good for the ‘kwiff’ where your bets can get ‘kwiffed’ and increase in odds. So a bet at odds of 10, can jump to 50 for example. This means you can get some mega arbs on it. It’s not really a bookie I use at all, just thought this was a good little bit of info to add here.
As you can see I hit the 2k mark, super chuffed with that.
To think at the beginning of June I had no extra money, and now I have 2k. I’m loving it.
October 2020: Week 4 & 5
This is a quick screenshot of the last day of 31/10/2020. The 22nd of October 2020 was a Thursday and the 28th October 2020 was a Wednesday.

Same as before with all the bets! Hopefully you can see it’s pretty straightforward at this point. I will say though that these easy bet and gets have dried up a lot, but it was keeping me afloat in 2020!
Conclusion
So, now I was 30, let’s check out the betting total.
For the month of October 2020 a betting total of £330.10 was made.
The Betting Total from the starting point of 17th June 2023 is £2,162.00
Yay, we hit the 2k mark!
It gets a lot more fun from this point. I think I have about 6k savings at the end of Oct 2020 when I quit my job. 2k of that was from matched betting, which leaves 4k that I have managed to save at 30 years old, what a noob. Luckily for me, matched betting turned into my passion, and the best side hustle for me!
Let’s get ready for next month, as the betting total soon jumps up!
