The Intro …

Time flies and we are 4 months into the year. I was getting really burnt out at this point with studying, working and matched betting, but still managed to do ok this month!

I am nearing the end of my coursework so May will be fun and looking forward to stopping studying! To be fair actually, I do enjoy learning, what I don’t enjoy is having to write a 1000 word essay on what I’ve just studied. If someone asked me that and I didn’t have anything on the line, I would say just read what I’ve read to understand it, not what I’ve written here. I’m only writing this to pass a test. I don’t know about you, but I learn better if I’m actually applying the information. Anyway, rant over.

Let’s get into it!

Personal Stats: April 2022

  • Working Full Time
  • Matched betting part time
  • Bankroll: £20,000+
  • Pets: 8
  • Software: Outplayed (review here)

Strategy 1 – Bet and Gets

Betbull had a couple of £25 Bet and Gets floating about. What a bookie they were! I think about this time I stopped doing the Paddy weekly bet club as I wanted to ‘try’ and preserve the accounts for boosts. Betfred was also good for the bet and gets.

Strategy 2 – Each way arbing

Can’t see that I did any each way arbing this month.

Strategy 3 – Sign up offers

I think I did one or two sign up offers, but nothing juicy to write home about.

Strategy 4 – Price Boosts

Lots of price boost done again for this month.

Strategy 5 – Dutching

Quite a few dutches going on this month, I reckon about 30% of the betting profits came from this.

Strategy 6 – Arbing

I continued arbing, and probably about 20% of the betting profits came from arbing, and arbing Betbull.

They changed there website around, and I remember seeing someone post that they were annoyed that the oddsmatcher wasn’t working for them, and saying how useless outplayed where lol. Well instead of being a forum warrior where everyone seems to love a moan, I thought to myself, well if the oddsmatcher isn’t working for them, I wonder if there odds are out, so basically good to arb, as I imagine most people really on software.

So I manaully looked for arbs, and boy did I find them! So I duly smashed Betbull with arbs for this month!

Strategy 7 – Casino

Can’t see much casino going on here, so thing it was all sports for this month.

Strategy 8 – Trading and losses

I made about £40 through a trade this month, oooh check me out.

Bascially this trade was Salah SOT ( I think it was SOT) I put £300 at 1.6 and traded out at 1.4. The reason for the trade was before the team news Salah was usually 1.6, then after team news he would drop to 1.4 when everyone started backing him.

Now with trading, that I’ve found, the losses out lay the wins!

Because on Sat 30th I lost £270 :O, shock, horror. I did the same trade, this time I think it was £500 at 1.62 or something. Now I had a family meal where we had to be at the meal at 12 or something, and basically I saw that Salah odds had started to drift to about 1.7, and it felt really dodgy looking at the chart. Bascially he didn’t start lol, so when the team news came out he shot out rapidly. Trying to salvage the situation, but rather dumbly I back another £200 at 2.2, when I meant to lay it to get my position out. In the end I cashed out everything at 2.8, right at the peak! I think he dropped to 2.2 again before the match started, but I had to go to the meal, so in a rush, I dumped at the worst time. It was a very interesting scenario, and I didn’t trade that market after that.

Lot to be learnt I guess from that, so I’ll probably come back to this and write it up a bit more indepth.

Grand National

I forgot about the Grand National.

Basically this is hyped up by everyone in my opinion, and with 40 horses it’s pretty hard to find any good extra place opportunities. However, one good offer is the Bet365 cashback offer, where you could wager £250 and get 50% cashback. So with extra accounts, you could make quite a bit. A betting profit of £400 was made through that on Bet365.

With a note on that, I won’t be doing that offer again, as I don’t want to risk a Bet365 account on that offer. I think Bet365 is better for Extra places or 2 ups, not that I’ve done them on Bet365, I end up losing the accounts doing the grand national offers or boosts before I get a chance!

Conclusion

Let’s see the stats for April,

For the month of April 2022 a betting total of £3,637.78 was made.

The Betting Total from the starting point of 17th June 2020 is £62,210.53

Well a really good month considering I was getting burnt out with studying.

I’m still blown away that I managed to make this betting profit in the evenings and weekend afternoons, it is crazy! I was making that amount last year full time!

So a bit of a short conclusion, let’s see what May will bring. Thanks for reading!
